After watching a short instructional video, get fitted out in stylin' safety vests and helmets (you may bring your own bicycle or skateboard helmet) and you'll be taught how to glide on a Segway.

The tour starts on Waterfront Park, where you may see ferries, the new water taxis or even a tall ship. Next, you'll glide out to Fort Trumbull, a gorgeous Egyptian Revival structure from the 1800s, which together with its counterpart across the river, Fort Griswold, guarded the access to the port of New London during the American Revolution and the War of 1812. You'll glide along lovely paths around the fort and by the water, and even out onto the fishing pier, depending on how the catch is going. You'll even hear a bit about Benedict Arnold and his calamitous visit in 1781.

Then, you'll head back downtown passing shops, restaurants, monuments and murals. The tour time is one hour and the entire adventure takes approximately 1.5 hours, so you'll be done just in time for lunch.
