Crossing over the river Sava, you'll be entering completely different scenery, discovering a very complex side of Zagreb that is not very often promoted by the official Zagreb Tourist Board. Here you'll get to see the development of our city since the Post-World War II era, mainly through that "mystical" time of communism, and see how it breathes today as it remains the main housing area of Zagreb. New Zagreb is currently also a cradle of a very vivacious Croatian contemporary art scene.

Meeting spot for all our tours is in the city centre, starting point of your lovely adventure. From here, we will check two small hills (don't worry, you can always push your bike, and won't be alone doing this!), where original settlements of nowadays Zagreb were founded, and then, partially strolling the Green Horseshoe area, turn to absolutely different surrounding. You'll be witnessing very sudden change in a blink of eye! Crossing the river will make us entering the Balkan zone, safely cycling on long ago planned cycling lanes. We'll cycle through the "sleeping over" area of the city, check the Contemporary Art Museum and shady and often very peaceful Bundek park with lakes. Cycling back over the bridge you'll have one of the loveliest sights on the city and realize why Zagreb is so in love with the mountain behind it's back.
