  • North Goa Full-Day Tour

Panjim, India

Trip Type:   Full-day Tours
Duration:  10 hours
Everybody loves the beaches of Goa. But then again, Goa is a lot more than pretty beaches and snazzy clubs. Goa, unlike the rest of India, had its destiny shaped by 450 years of confluence of Portuguese and Indian traditions. This is a land dotted with ancient churches and tropical forests, just about everywhere you go. The people here are renowned for a contented style of living, much forgotten in today's fast paced life. The food combines the cooking methods of the Iberian Peninsula with the spicy flavours of India. Do unwind at some of the pristine beaches of the region, but also take a day out to explore some of the lesser known aspects of Goa.

Explore the churches and museums at Old Goa while walking around the city and reliving the days of the Portuguese here.
Walk around the Goa of vintage - the Latin quarters in Fontainhas. After some stories and authentic Goan lunch, head to a fort. A visit to Goa is incomplete without visiting one of the many forts here. The Reis Magos Fort – this is where the people who fought for Goa’s independence were held captive.
