Situated in the heart of the Rockies, the Arkansas River threads its way through a whitewater alpine paradise in the center of Colorado. Below is the Arkansas headwaters in Leadville, Colorado at 11,000 feet.
Knowledgeable, professional and friendly guides will run the Numbers 1-10 rapids with you, a stretch of the river which is truly home to world class challenges of class IV rapids, running solid thrills from top to bottom. You'll then move downstream through the Narrows, a technical class III-IV stretch ending in Buena Vista. Minimum age is 18 and participants must be in good health with paddling skills. A deli style lunch is included during a peaceful break on the banks of the Arkansas River.
