This private day tour is going to lead you to savor Sichuan culture by visiting Jinsha Museum, enjoy a cup of tea at People’s Park, try the local hot pot cuisine, and watch a special Sichuan Opera.After your hotel pickup in the morning, you'll first visit the Wuhou Temple. It is the largest museum of the site left from the Three Kingdoms Period of Chinese history, and a very quiet oasis in the city. You will then walk around and explore Jinli Old Street, which is neighboring to the Wuhou Temple.
Later, you will have the opportunity to try hotpot lunch feast at a local restaurant. Hotpots are very popular in Chengdu, and are known for its spicy and hot flavor. Although this kind of hotpot is taken as the Chongqing specialty by the locals, it has become famous and popular all over the country.
After lunch, you'll visit the Jinsha Site Museum, which is a museum established on Jinsha ruins, and is also a museum to showcase ancient Shu culture in Sichuan area during Shang and Zhou dynasties. Next, continue to People’s Park, where locals relax themselves by singing, dancing, playing cards or chess...etc. You could also have a cup of tea at local tea house and enjoy the leisure time in the park.
After dinner, you will be provided a transfer to enjoy a traditional Sichuan opera show. Sichuan Opera is characterized by unique solos, refined performance, percussion instrument and talented comedians. In this performance, you will see various unique skills such as the Facing Changing Show which enjoys international fame for many decades and Hands Shadow Show which only performed by hands rather than actors.
At the conclusion of the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel in downtown Chengdu.
