About two hours away from Tokyo station by Shinkansen (bullet train) or bus. Guests can enjoy Gunma prefecture's natural beauty from the comfort of their guest rooms, each featuring an open-air rotenburo onsen (outdoor hot springs) that flows directly from its source. Situated at the foot of the majestic Mount Tanigawa, one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, the expansive Senjuan ryokan is a must-do experience for spa lovers. A member of France's "Relais & Châteaux" association of excellence in hospitality, this ryokan represents the harmonious fusion of the traditional and the modern at a luxurious Japanese ryokan. There are six types of rooms, each featuring a private, open-air rotenburo onsen (outdoor hot springs) and a separate shower stall. In specially-designated rooms, a private ganbanyoku hot stone spa is also available.

Aside from the hot spring in each room, the ryokan also has a large public bath with hot spring water flowing directly from its source. Both indoor and open-air rotenburo-style hot springs are available in the gentlemen's and ladies' baths. Guests can enjoy a different experience with the increase in relaxation space.

One of the pleasures of staying at this ryokan is in its focus on serving Japanese food that are locally-sourced in abundance in Gunma. Throughout the year, different ingredients are used to suit the change in seasons. All stay packages include breakfast and dinner. Meals may also be served and enjoyed in the privacy of the guest room. Guests may choose between a selection of Japanese- and Western-styled breakfasts. In addition, Japanese sake, plum wine, and over 100 other alcoholic beverages are available to complement the sumptuous meals.

A fully-stocked reading room is located inside the ryokan for some quiet reading time. For those who enjoy soaking their feet in the gentle hot spring water while enjoying the surrounding natural scenery, please try the "ashiyu" foot bath hot spring (complimentary).

Depending on when you visit, you might be able to attend seasonal events such as the "Concert Under the Starry Skies," the "Fireflies Event," the "Yoga Workshop in Nature," and more, available only at this ryokan.

This booking includes one-night accommodation in Japanese room with breakfast and dinner. The room comes with a private onsen.
