Did you know Bulgaria has won awards for its wine production? Whilst we’re all aware of Western Europe’s wine-making abilities, few of us know about the wine coming from Central Eastern Europe.There is no better way to get a feel for the local wine scene than by taking part in a tasting at a local enoteka. You are invited to join this tour for a few hours of wine discoveries. The tasting will consist of 5 Bulgarian wines from different local varieties and different wine regions in Bulgaria. Tastings are accompanied by small bites and mineral water. The tasting will be led by the owner of the enoteka who has a WSET certification and is a Bulgarian wine expert. Be prepared to learn, taste and enjoy!
Your local host will pick you up from a pre-determined centrally located landmark (The Central Post Office of Plovdiv). Tastings can be conducted between 10 am - 6 pm.
