This tour takes you back in time to experience the Swedish epoch called the Vendel age (500-800 AD).
Vada had an important role in the trade between Uppsala (today Sweden's fourth biggest city) and the rest of what would become Sweden. Vada was a place that once tied tradesmen, craftsmen, warriors and farms together. The Vendel age is classified in Sweden as the first era of the late iron age (500-800 AD) that ends with the Viking Age around 1100 AD. This era brings a lot of changes, the importance of weapons grows, crafts and distant luxury trade with Europe flourish.
