While most people are familiar with Bali as a popular tourist destination, renowned for its amazing resorts and wonderful nature, the island has so much more to offer. Experience Balinese life firsthand with a local guide in his hometown Payangan, situated 20 minutes away from Ubud center.You will be picked up from your hotel or cruise port around 8am and taken to a compound house to meet a Balinese family, which includes about 40 members. Then, you will visit a school, a traditional market, a countryside to see the real Bali and experience its lifestyle firsthand.

Then, you will visit Tegalalang rice terrace, take a walk in a coffee shop and spice garden to see coffee, cacao, clove and vanilla plantations. You'll have a stop here for a tasty coffee break and later, continue your journey to see the semi-active volcano Mount Batur over the lake.

Afterwards, continuing to Gunung Kawi Serbatu, known for its bathing pools and holy springs. On the way back, enjoying the stunning scenic drive and before heading going back to your hotel, you may get a chance to visit Ubud monkey forest. Also, optional visit of the art village is available.
