Your tour guide will meet you in the morning at your hotel and you will take a taxi, bus or subway to get your bike for this tour. First, you will visit a crowded and noisy vegetable market where locals like to buy vegetables in the morning. You will also stop by a bird and flowers market.
After that, ride a bike to Kuan Xiangzi Old Street via Tianfu Square. The beautiful Tianfu Square is in the center of Chengdu, and has a marble statue of Chairman Mao. Continue to the ancient Kuan Xiangzi Old Street, built about 300 years ago. Although, many western coffee shops and bars have come to occupied it, you can still trace the ancient history through the square yard and wooden doors. You will have a 1-hour stop here to have a lunch of some delicious Sichuan snacks.
After lunch, ride a bike to Green Ram Temple via the old style Qingtai Road. The Green Ram Temple is a famous Taoist temple in China, and here you will learn about 2000-year-old Laozi philosophy. After the tour of Green Ram Temple, continue to Jinli Old Street, which is close to Wuhou temple. Many Tibetans consider Chengdu as their residency, and as a result, you can buy some Tibetan souvenirs (without going to Tibet) here on its streets. Then, you will ride your bike to Wangjianglou Park and see its bamboo garden. This garden is famous for its beautiful bamboo and pagoda which is a symbol of Chengdu.
The hot and spicy hot pot of Chengdu is well known in China. Winter or summer doesn't matter, Chengdu hot pot restaurants are full of locals who are convinced that eating around the round pot means friendship and union. For dinner you will be taken to a special hot pot restaurant. After dinner, the guide will take you back to your hotel and the tour will be over.
