  • Largo da Ordem: the Ordem church is the main attraction and the oldest in Curitiba, built 1736
  • Cathedral: inaugurated 1893 in neo-gothic style, has been recently renewed
  • Tiradentes Square: the place where Curitiba began. In the middle of the square, a glass floor shows the antique pavement, besides the zero point of Curitiba and the foundation stone
  • Paço da Liberdade: the former city hall was built in eclectic style and opened 1915. Today it hosts a cultural centre and a beautiful café
  • Rua das Flores (pedestrian area): opened 1972, it is one of Curitiba´s main commercial areas
  • Santos Andrade Square: in this beautiful square you will see the Guaíra Theater and the historical building of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR)
  • Oscar Niemeyer Museum (external visit): its nickname is “Eye Museum” due to its modern architecture in eye-shape.
  • Pope´s Woods: the Polish immigration memorial has wooden houses built at the end of the 19th century that are today an open air museum, besides native woods (houses close on Monday)
  • Botanical Garden: the beautiful garden is one of Curitiba´s postcards
Please note: On Sundays there might be changes in the walking tour, as there is a handcraft market in the old town.
