See the highlights of the 3 million person capital of the state of Bahia. Take a private car and walking tour along the beaches from the city to the Pelorinho, or historical center of the town.
You will visit all the main attractions of Salvador, including the old town's historical center, the Pelorinho, and the peninsula of Itapagipe with its amazing church, Igreja do Bomfirm, lighthouse, and Fort Monte Serrat. You will stop here for a refreshing coconut water.
Then you will drive over to the heart of the city, the old-town, where you park the car in the lower part of the town and then take the elevator lacerda, an art-deco elevator that connects the lower to the upper part of Salvador. Once in the upper part of the city, you will take a walking tour of the the main churches and important buildings.
After that, it's down on the train to the Mercado Modelo where you will enjoy a fantastic Bahian lunch (own expense) with stunning views over the harbor. After this, its time to hit the coastline and the Barra Lighthouse.
