Visiting both Cu Chi Tunnels and Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station in a full day. The Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station rescues animals that are confiscated from the illegal animal trade in Ho Chi Minh City or other surrounded provinces. Depending the schedule of the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station, order of the visits may be reversed.
The tour will start at 8am at the lobby of your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. It takes around 1.5 hours to drive to Cu Chi Tunnels.
Before visiting the tunnels, visitors will find it hard to imagine the destruction, damage & defoliation over this whole area, caused by bombing and mines. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone".
We will drive through pleasant countryside with the peacefully rural rice paddy scenery containing ducks and water buffaloes swimming in the rivers alongside the road.
Before entering the tunnels visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed.
You will then spend the next hour exploring the tunnels under the instruction of local tour guide.
Get to see the tunnels and discover how these tunnels were constructed and how its inhabitants combat two forces: the invading troops and the tunnels itself.
Visit Hoang Cam's smokeless store, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, and many dangerous booby traps.
Transferring to Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station. At the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station, you will not only see the endangered animals, but also learn stories and special features of different individuals. You can also visit the display centers to find out what you can do to help. You can also join us in feeding the animals or preparing food for them.
After that, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. We will drop you off at your hotel at around 5pm.
