Make your way to Pompeii with your English-speaking driver. Explore the ruins of Pompeii (own expense) with a professional, English-speaking guide. Head to Mount Vesuvius following your Pompeii tour. Hike up the volcano to the summit. Stop for lunch (included) at a local restaurant/winery on your way up the slope of the volcano. Visit the winery for an Italian-style wine-tasting. Enjoy the views from the terrace at the winery, which overlooks the Mediterranean. View the crater from that vantage point. Return to Rome hotel at 7:30pm.

Spaghetti made with durum wheat flour and tossed with a sauce made from heirloom Piennolo tomatoes and basil, paired with Lacryma Christi Riserva (80% Piedirosso and 20% Aglianico, aged in French oak barrels for 18 - 24 months).

Pastiera Napolitana, a traditional dessert featuring sweetened ricotta, candied fruit, and boiled wheat berries, paired with Capafresca
