Mugumugi, a hidden paradise in Hualien, is known for its crystal clear stream water and beautiful rocks. It used to be a place where vehicle can reach easily. Nowadays, due to the environmental issue of preserving this area, every visitor need to hike into this beautiful and tranquil place. Your driver guide will lead you to the hidden swimming pool in this marvelous canyon, prepare your swimwear!You will be picked up from your hotel in Hualien city between 8:30 am to 9:30am (based on your preference). It takes around forty minutes to get to the trailhead of Mugumuyu. In the beginning, the tour guide would apply permission for Mugumugi local police office. After applying the permit of every member, we will park our car and start the relax hiking to Mugumuyu. It takes around 45 minutes walk with gentle incline to from trailhead to Mugumuyu area. Along the way, you can expect to see some wildlife such as exotic birds, monkeys. Besides, you can see local aborigines' life such as farming, fishing. 

Upon reaching the Mugumugi area, you will see the crystal clear water. Local tour guide will bring you to different hidden spots to enjoy the surrounding. You can take off your shoes and soak your feet into clean and fresh stream. Or lie down on the amazing sedimentary colorful rocks and enjoy the fresh air and breeze. 

For the lunch, we will stop at local aboriginal restaurant, which is owned by Taroko Tribal aborigines, will serve aboriginal-style cuisine. We won't have a big lunch because local tour operator will take you to explore more beautiful spots in the valley. Around 2pm, it's time to walk back to the trailhead. The return walk is downhill walk so it's even easier compared to the morning one.

Once at the trailhead, your tour guide will take you back to Hualien City to enjoy a meal at a seventy year old Wonton soup shop at your own cost before dropping you off at Hualien train station or your hotel in Hualien City. If you wish to browse around the night market after the tour, your tour guide can drop you at night market area for free as well.
