Join us to discover the magical city of Mysore and experience the old-world charm of the "City of Palace". You will learn about the heritage and history of Mysore and explore the art and architecture of its palaces. You will visit Mysore Royal Palace, Chamundeswari Temple, Chamundi Hill and St. Philomena's Church and be completely taken over by the charm of this special city.Our chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel in Bangalore by 7:30 AM and drive to the beautiful city of Mysore that is also known as the "City of Palace". On arrival you will be greeted by your local guide and visit the Mysore Royal Palace located in the heart of the city. It is also known as "Amba Vilas Palace" and was the residence of Wodeyer Maharaja of Mysore. As a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, the palace has been converted into a museum that exhibits souvenirs, paintings, jewelery, royal costumes and items that were once possessed by the Wodeyars. Afterwards enjoy lunch in a local restaurant with variety of menu options.

After Lunch drive to Chamundeswari Temple located on the top of Chamundi Hills approx. 13 km from the palace city of Mysore. The temple has a seven-story tall Gopura decorated with intricate carvings. The deity of the goddess is believed to be made of gold and the temple doors are made of silver. The temple was named after Chamundeshwari or Durga, the fierce form of Shakti, a tutelary deity held in reverence for centuries by Mysore Maharajas. On the way back to Mysore, do not forget to enjoy the amazing view of Mysore city from Chamundi Hill.

En-route visit St. Philomena's Church located on the Ashoka Road in Mysore. It is an Roman Catholic chruch and is considered one of the most Imposing and attractive structures in India. After the tour is concluded, we will drive you back to Bangalore and drop you off at your hotel.
