A pilgrimage to San Giovanni Rotondo on the Shrine of Padre Pio.Starting from Sorrento, Naples or any town along the Amalfi coast, drive the A16 towards east, we take the excite of Foggia and start to drive up to the town of San Giovanni Rotondo which is located on the promontory of Gargano (the spur of the boot).
1-hour drive from Foggia we reach the town of San Giovanni Rotondo. Visit the Cappuccini convent, the old chapel and the crypt where Padre Pio has rest for 40 years.
After this first complex we move to the new Sanctuary opened in 2004 where the body of Padre Pio rests in a glass coffin visible to the pilgrims.
After the 2-hour visit we return to your original location.
