In addition, skip the long lines at the railway station for tickets.5:15am: You’ll be picked up at your hotel in New Delhi by air-conditioned car for the transfer to the New Delhi railway station.
6am: Depart from the New Delhi railway station for Agra. Make your way to platform 1 for the train to Agra Cantt. Enjoy a speedy, fully air-conditioned express train with breakfast on board.
8:06am: Meet your guide and driver at the Agra Cantt railway station, looking for the sign with your name on it.
8:10am: Begin your private tour in an air-conditioned car, accompanied by your guide. Visit the Taj Mahal, built in the 17th century by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz.
11am: After the Taj Mahal, visit the Agra Fort, built in 1565 A.D. Marvel at this majestic creation by the Mughal Emperor Akbar.
1pm: Enjoy lunch at an air-conditioned restaurant (own expense)
2pm: Following lunch you’ll continue on to Fatehpur Sikri, known as a ghost city, and built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Admire the marvelous red stone work in the palaces.
Later you’ll visit Mehtab Bagh, on the other side of the river, for a rear view of the Taj Mahal at sunset.
After sunset you’ll meet your tour representative and spend your last hour enjoying a bite to eat or coffee at a nearby restaurant.
8:30pm: You’ll be transferred to the Agra Cantt railway station for the return journey to New Dehli. Dinner will be served on the train.
11:30pm: A driver will pick you up at the New Delhi railway station for the transfer back to your accommodation.
