Join this private day-trip to Nan Province, a mostly rural province in North Thailand. The province bordering Laos is a remote place of valleys and forested mountains, a tranquil place to relax your mind from a busy life in city. You will discover the lifestyle of Mlabri Tribe and see a historical mural at Wat Phumin temple. Round-trip hotel transfer and lunch is included.Our driver and professional English speaking guide will collect you from your hotel lobby in Chiang Mai city around 8am by a private vehicle and head to Lampang. It will take approximately 1.5 hour drive from Chiang Mai city area.
Upon arrival, we will take a horse carriage around the Lampang city and visit the Pongsanook Temple. This temple is very colorful and interesting, located just across the river from the center of the old town of Lamphang. Please remember to take some beautiful photos here before we head to Nan Vintage City bordering Laos.
On the way to Nan, we will stop at Phae Muang Phee Royal Park at Phare province for photography. A delicious lunch will be served at Nan. After lunch, we continue our journey to the Mlabri Tribe, an ethnic group of Thailand and Laos. You will learn and discover their traditional and nomadic lifestyle here.
After a short tour at Mlabri Tribe, we will explore Nan old city on the carriage. The city is rich in art, culture and this is a good opportunity to experience the unique local lifestyle. You can see many Buddhist temples, old teak mansions and museums.
Finally, we will visit Wat Phumin temple with its famous historical mural “Pu Man Ya Man” on the internal walls. You can pray to Buddha and making merit here. Our driver will transfer you back to your hotel after a wonderful trip in Northern Thailand.
