Private Group Tour for up to 8 people - Step back in time and discover Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral & the White Cliffs of Dover. An opportunity to experience some of the wonderful history this part of Kent has to offer, Cliffs, Castles and Coves scattered in and around some pretty towns and villages steeped in stories from the past from smugglers to Monarchy, just sit back and enjoy the journey. Please note the entrance fees are not included in the price, kindly contact the local provider after booking to confirm the visits to the attractions. You will be collected from your Cruise Ship at Dover Cruise Terminal at 08.00am in a luxury vehicle with 8 leather seats, fully air conditioned & valeted for your day.

You will be next taken to Leeds Castle (about a 45 minute drive); the Castle doesn’t open until 10.30am but they do offer private guided tours from 09.00am for up to 25 people. The Castle tour takes about an hour and the whole visit usually lasts around 3 hours but your guide will wait for you, so you can be flexible.

From there you travel to Canterbury & the Cathedral. The Cathedral has the option to have a guided tour with one of the Cathedral Guides (Only accredited Cathedral guides are permitted to conduct tours in the Cathedral); the tour lasts 1¼ hours. The Castle and Cathedral admission & tour costs are not included in the price but when the number of people in your group is confirmed the local operator can book the tickets for you for extra cost. The City of Canterbury has a great atmosphere and whilst not large, it would be well worth the visit. The Cathedral is nothing short of breathtaking and you could spend several hours in Canterbury enjoying the city, including having some lunch.

You will be collected from Canterbury to start the tour beginning in Dover and the White Cliffs. From Dover Seafront you will look back at the Cliffs & the Castle. Then you drive along the South Foreland (The White Cliffs). You will stop to look down over the Harbour. From there you go to the beach at St Margarets at Cliffe (very pretty). Then onto the village of Kingsdown and its beach where it’s believed the Romans first invaded Britain. From there onto the award winning seaside town of Deal via Walmer Castle, once the home of the Duke of Wellington when he was the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports.

The town of Deal has a history of smuggling, some of the streets are worth a look. Then onto the Medieval town of Sandwich (the most complete medieval town in Britain). From Sandwich you take a drive through some pretty villages before heading back to Dover Cruise Terminal finishing at your Cruise Ship.

The price is for a full day for up to 8 people excluding Leeds Castle/Cathedral admission and their tour costs. (Prices vary as they have concessions for different people: Children & Senior Citizens).
