Join in this 4-hour cooking class to learn how to make Chinese delicacies with your experienced chef in a classic ambiance, you will have lots of fun. This class provides the choice to let you pick 4 Sichuan dishes, for example: Kung Pao Chicken, Mapo Tofu, Fish-flavored Eggplant and more.

What does a cooking class look like, please see below detailed steps:
1.Visiting the local wet market
Meet your chef at a designated place and join him to explore the local wet market, you will know more about the local’s life, get to know different seasonings, spices and ingredients. You will also learn some tips on how to choose the best ingredients. Fresh ingredients for your cooking class will be purchased to prepare your dishes.

2. Preparations
At the very beginning, the chef will brief you the basic knowledge about Chinese cooking, seasonings and cooking methods. Cooking Recipes will be provided.(you can choose up to 4 dishes to learn) During this class, you will use the Chinese kitchen knife(cleaver) to cut up ingredients, learn how to marinate meat for certain food, prepare the sauce for your dishes and cook them all up!

After cooking, it's now time to enjoy your “masterpiece” of Chinese dishes!

  • Mapo Tofu: A dish has a history of over 170 years and was created in Chengdu.This dish has a shining red color and tastes fragrant, spicy with a little bit numbing flavor.
  • Kung Pao Chicken: Created in the Qing dynasty by Ding Bao Zhen who used to be a governor in Sichuan province.The chicken cubes taste tender and spicy with a little bit sweet and sour flavor.The peanuts taste crunch.
  • Fish Flavored Eggplant / shredded pork: Using pickled chili sauce, this dish tastes hot spicy,sweet and sour.
  • Twice Cooked Pork: This dish is stir fried with garlic shoots.By using broad bean paste and ferment soy beans, the flavor is thick and fragrance.
  • Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs: A typical and popular Sichuan dish with a sweet and sour flavor by using sugar and vinegar.
