On this half-day tour, see the giant pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The giant pandas are not only a Chinese national treasure but are also beloved by people the world over. They are found only in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. Therefore, when visitors from home and abroad come to Chengdu, one of their main objectives will be to see this lovely animal for themselves.This half day tour will start in the morning at around 8am, as the pandas are very active in the morning. Drive to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda. Once there, you will catch the pandas' feeding time as both the adults and babies are most active.
There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other. You will also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas, as well as documents and pictures of how these little pink mouse-size things grow to giant white and black chubby pandas of over 100kg (about 220pounds).
The Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center, also known as Panda Base, is one of the most successful of these institutes. The environment here is exquisitely designed with luxurious stands of bamboo. This sanctuary is home not only to giant pandas, but also red pandas, black-necked cranes, golden monkeys and flocks of wild birds. Later then you can go to watch a film at the Panda Museum to learn about the daily lives of the pandas, learn about how babies are born and more.
At the end of the tour, the guide and driver will transfer you back to the hotel before 11:30am. Service ends here.
