Later in the day, you will also tour the medieval walled city of San Gimignano, less than an hour away. You will have the first sight of the famous towers of San Gimignano from afar. Enjoy a loop around the village on your own, going to the lovely Collegiata, the Piazza della Cisterna with its 13th century cistern, and head to the Rocca – the fortress – for spectacular views over the ancient towers .
