In the morning, pay a visit to Cu Chi - a historic region of the Vietnam/US War, where you can eyewitness a three level deep tunnel system that stretches from Saigon to the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Your coach leaves from Ho Chi Minh City, bright and early. Make sure you've had your morning coffee because you won't want to miss the typical southern Vietnamese scenery en route to the Cu Chi District. As the bus escapes the built up city, rice paddies and traditional village life will provide an interesting contrast to frantic nature of Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival, the tour begins. During the American War in the 1960s, the Cu Chi Tunnels were vital to the Viet Cong resistance, providing essential supply lines, make-shift hospitals, cover from American attacks and weapon factories.
