If you wonder which mountain in West Serbia you should visit, look no further as you can visit two of them in one tour. This tour combines two of the most attractive mountains of West Serbia and guarantees perfect adventure and exploration for mountain lovers. The first day is quite dynamic and there are a lot of places we need to visit, so we start from Belgrade pretty early. Our first stop in Zlatibor is Stopića Cave, one of the most beautiful in Serbia. The cave is around 1600 meters long, of which 500 meters are suited for visitors. The cave entrance is 30 meters wide and 18 meters high. Water which cascades from limestone basins is a perfect reason to go deep into this cave.

After the cave we continue to the village Sirogojno where the ethnological open-air museum “Old Village” is settled. This museum is unique in Serbia, and one of the few in Europe. Households in this set-up were moved from original locations and those are 100% authentic.

From Sirogojno we move on to Gostilje waterfall where 20 meters water drop-down creates a wonderful scene and cold water makes pleasant refreshment in hot summer days. Stream after the waterfall creates fabulous rapids and cascades which are surrounded by intact nature.

Lunch is planned in the nearby restaurant Pećinar which is managed by the Pećinar family for six generations, best possible guarantee for good quality and service.

After lunch we go straight to the touristic center of Zlatibor for relaxation in vibrant cafes or for a stroll (if there is any energy left). From here we move on to Mokra Gora for overnight.

Second day is reserved for Mokra gora with famous Sargan Eight railway and Kusturica’s Kustendorf ethno village. The train Nostalgia departs from Mokra gora station at 10:30, so until then we have plenty of time for breakfast and morning coffee. During our ride on Sargan Eight we will pass and stop at stations Sargan-Vitasi, Sargan-Jatare and make short stops on several viewpoints from which fabulous views over Mokra gora can be seen.

After almost two and a half hour ride we are returning to the starting point and we move to Kustendorf which was built by Emir Kusturica during filming his movie „Life is a miracle“. Here you can find, as in any regular town, a museum, a church, a library, a hotel, a restaurant… You might be surprised with street names in this town because those are named after famous people Kusturica admires: Nikola Tesla, Bruce Lee, Ernesto Che Guevara, Diego Armando Maradona, Federico Fellini, Ingmar Bergman…

For lunch break we recommend restaurant Lotika in Kustendorf.

After two days of intensive exploration of these two beauties we return to Belgrade.
