Discover Amish Country on this day trip from New York City for up to five guests. Experience the everyday life of the Amish, their community, customs and culture on a private tour led by an Amish or Mennonite guide living in that community. Throughout the tour, there is first-hand exposure to the people, practices and places of the 31,000 Amish living in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Visit their farms, bakeries, markets, quilt shops, mills and more on this exciting and memorable visit.Your private driver-guide will meet your group at the New York City location of your choice at whatever time is best for you.  You will then travel approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to Amish Country in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There you will meet up with your Amish or Mennonite guide and head out on a 6-hour adventure roaming and exploring the beautiful Amish countryside for the day.

Early in the visit, stop at an all-you-can-eat family-style restaurant where Amish food is prepared and served (not included in the cost of the tour). You will visit at least one of each of the following during the day: an Amish quilt shop; farm; farmers' market; water powered mill; country store; covered bridge; bake shop and more.

Pass by Amish farms, schools, cemeteries and businesses along way. See the Amish working in their fields, driving their horses and buggies and living a lifestyle more like the 1800s than today. It should be noted that each of these experiences is a real-life experience and encounter -- these are not staged tourist attractions. Your guide, living in that community, ensures your experience with their friends and neighbors is genuine and authentic.

At the end of the day, you will be driven back to New York City with fond memories of the Amish and Amish Country that are sure to last a lifetime.
