Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco early in the morning to start your triathlon adventure through the Sacred Valley. You will drive to Chinchero on a private van. In this beautiful textile town, you will receive all the safety equipment before you start your first activity: biking. The paths taken are flat and you will use ‘bike-only’ trails. See river valleys, glaciers and great views, with some occasional ruins along the way. By bicycle, you will go up to Waypo lake, where the kayaking adventure will start. No experience is needed as this is a very smooth and peaceful lake. You will relax and explore the lake with your professional kayak and then enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at the bank of the lake. After lunch, you will bike towards Maras, a typical Andean village. See the streets and get a sense that you are back in the time of the Incas as a lot of the culture has remained very similar. People still to wear traditional clothing and the town is lined with historical buildings. See the very impressive San Francisco Church and visit the salt terraces of Maras to see and learn about an ancient pre-Incan method of producing salt. After visiting the salt flats, you will start the trekking through the Sacred Valley until you reach the Urubamba river. Then, you will be transferred to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will take the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel.

Day 2: Machu Picchu and Train to Cusco
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning and transfer you to the ruins for your tour of Machu Picchu, "The Lost City of the Incas." At this incredible sacred site, you will learn about the history and visit the truly remarkable Temples of the Sun and the Condor. You will also see the aqueducts and houses, while learning some interesting facts about the Inca Sacred Terraces. After your guided tour, you will have plenty of time to explore this truly magnificent site on your own. There are many short trek options including the one to the Sun Gate for a great view overlooking Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu, or a visit to the Incan Bridge, a secret entrance for the Incan Army. The most adventurous trekkers cannot miss the famous mountain climb to the summit of Wayna Picchu, which can be scheduled at either 7am or 10am. However, there is a limit on the number of people who can climb each day so you will need to book it in advance. In the afternoon, you will return back to Aguas Calientes in time for your train to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco, you will be transferred to your hotel to end this wonderful Sacred Valley combo tour.
