Book your Latin Quarter or Montmartre private tour and, armed with your digital or SLR camera, or smartphone, meet your guide in your chosen district.

Start walking and learn from your guide how to ‘spot’ and capture some of the wonderful scenes around you. Make frequent stops to shoot world-famous monuments, dip into hidden lanes and streets, and discover new ‘ways of seeing’ your surroundings.

As you stroll, learn how your enthusiasm and creativity are more important than your type of camera, and get hands-on instructions using its different settings, as well as mastering light and the art of composition.

Both tours end at a bistro for drinks or snacks (own expense) and, if you have a digital camera, to allow you to get your guide’s friendly critique on your photos.

Photography Walking Tour – Latin Quarter (3 hours)
Meet your guide in the Latin Quarter, a district on the Left Bank of the Seine near Paris' Sorbonne University that's known for its student life, bohemian vibe and buzzing bistros.

Explore the back streets to record the sights on camera, and stroll along the Seine to absorb the views of Notre Dame Cathedral. Then, take a closer look at this spectacular Gothic church and take shots of its exterior, with helpful ideas from your guide.

Lastly, head into a bistro for refreshments (own expense) and chat with your guide, gleaning their views on your shots if you've taken them digitally. Your tour then ends after your visit.

Photography Walking Tour – Montmartre (3 hours)
Meet your guide in Montmartre, the hill in northern Paris known for its art galleries, nightlife and Sacré Coeur Basilica. As you stroll, learn how to ‘see’ the buildings and streets from a photographer’s viewpoint and stop to take pictures helped by hints from your guide.

Delve into the cobbled alleyways, leafy squares and stepped hills, and gradually make your way to the Place du Tertre near the Sacré Coeur. See the outdoor art stalls of watercolorists and portrait painters in the square and finish by snapping views of the white, domed church.

End your tour at a bistro over refreshments (own expense). Chat with your guide about what you've learnt, and if you’ve used a digital camera, get their views on your photos, before saying your goodbyes.
