When the granite rocks of Seorak are seen from a long distance, it reminds people of snow, which is why it's called “Seorak (Snow Rock).”

Seoraksan offers a different atmosphere for every season. You will see green scenery during spring; thick forests in the summer; burning red maple trees in autumn; and pure beauty of white snow flowers in winter. Seoraksan is always beautiful and miraculous.

Your tour begins with pickup at Sokcho Express Bus Terminal or Sokcho, Yangyang area Hotel in the morning. Your guide transfers your small group to Seoraksan National Park at Mt. Seorak. On arrival, your guide recommends a well-maintained Point of Mt. Seorak.

Gwongeumseong Fortress that is built hight at the entrance of Shinheungsa Temple was established during reign of King Gojong of Koryo in order to counter invasion of Mongolians. For those who are not quite the hikers, you can take the cable car up the mountain as well (cable car depends on availability; own expense).

Sinheungsa, sometimes spelled Shinheungsa, is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is situated on the slopes of Seoraksan in Sokcho, Gangwon Province.

There is an interesting legend behind the name of Ulsan Rock and waterfalls where you are taken to a local restaurant for a Korean lunch of Buckwheat noodles or seafood (sashimi, rice, and soup).

After lunch, you will visit Naksan Temple & beach. In Gangwon province lies Naksan temple which has a 1,300 year old history to boast. It is rich with culture and beautiful architecture, including the Seven Floor Stone Tower, Dongjong and Hongyaemun to name a few.

After the trip, you will be dropped back off at your Sokcho/Yangyang hotel.
