Leave bustling Bangkok behind for this full-day private tour that takes you to Kanchanaburi, situated in the scenic Mae Nam Make Klong valley. You’ll ride off-road in an all-terrain vehicle, trundle along jungle tracks atop a majestic elephant, glide along the River Kwai in your raft, and splash around under a gorgeous waterfall. This guided rainforest adventure includes private transport, picnic lunch and coffee breaks.
Get an early morning start on your Thai rainforest adventure with private pickup from your hotel in Bangkok. Kanchanaburi, located just 80 miles (130 km) from the capital, is situated in the Mae Nam Mae Klong valley and serves as the launching point for your activities. Chat with your informative guide about the exciting day ahead. The advantage of a private tour is that commentary can be tailored to your interests.

Upon arrival, continue on to Pak Saeng elephant camp where you’ll jump in a 4x4 vehicle. Prepare for a fun, 45-minute ride over bumpy terrain as your driver-guide describes your surroundings. Back at the elephant camp, meet the majestic creature that will guide you through the jungle for 30 minutes in the open forest. An elephant trainer is on hand to be sure everyone is safe.

Follow your elephant ride with a 30-minute bamboo-rafting trip down the famous River Kwai. After paddling your vessel through the waterway, return to dry land for a break with coffee or tea before leaving the camp with your guide.

Hop back into the 4x4 vehicle and continue off the beaten track to Thong Phapoom on a road used by the locals, stopping at Ti-Ong-Ti village for a picnic lunch of fried chicken, grilled fish, stir-fried vegetables and Thai fruits as you sit by a tranquil stream in natural surroundings. Hidden in the mountainous terrain of the Saiyok district, the orchards of Ti-Ong-Ti provide fruit trees growing succulent mango, jackfruit, santol, pineapple and more, depending on the season.

With your appetite fulfilled, you’ll follow a different village road, making a round-trip loop on the way to Pha Tad Waterfall. When you reach the 82-foot (25-meter) waterfall, enjoy swimming in the refreshing natural pool and relaxing during another coffee break. Feel the power of the waterfall, which flows from a wide cliff down a limestone watercourse nestled in the tropical jungle.

After approx. 1.5 hours here, depart the forest with your guide and head back Bangkok by air-conditioned vehicle, with drop-off at your hotel in the evening.
