Day 1: Marrakech – Tichka pass – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech in the morning towards the South. Go through the high Tichka pass (2260m altitude) passing mountain terraced tree-lined Berber villages. Lunch and visit the famous towering ancient kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou protected by UNESCO. We continue to Ouarzazate and spend night in the hotel.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Tizi N’tanifeft – Zagora – Agdz – El Gatara pass
After breakfast continue, towards the desert town of Zagora with palmery and Ouarzazate (164 km). Cross the mountains of the Little Atlas Tizi N’tanifeft and reach the village of Agdz. Follow the valley of the Draa with dotted Kasbahs and vegetable, gardens and palm trees to Zagora. Have lunch and departure by 4×4 to reach the foot of the El Gatara pass (50 km) to meet the caravan. Bivouac tea, installation, and evening meal in the tent .
Day 3: Alaiouj pass – Achgig Oasis – Djebel Bani – Bouhjib
Wake up to a sunrise breakfast.. Departure of the caravan. Pass by Alaiouj pass and walk until Achgig oasis in the shade of palm trees, until a stop for a midday meal. Then start walking about 2 hours in small mountains of Jebel Bani. Installation of bivouac in Bouhjib at the end of mountain range for the night.
Day 4: Large dunes Abidlia
Departure after breakfast towards the dunes. Take a well earned rest for lunch in the shade of tamarisk trees . Leave around 3pm and walk more or less 2 hours through small dunes to reach the big dunes Abidlia. Then transfer to Zagora where you will spend night in the hotel.
Day 5: Zagora - Tinghir – Todgha Gorges
After breakfast start by4x4 to Crossing the fortified villages (Tinghir) and continue to Alnif in the immense Bougafer massif to reach the impressive Todra gorges with their two high sheer cliffs of 300 m. The rocky folds reflect the colors orange and purple, like stained glass. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Dades - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
After breakfast, start the tour via the Dades valley with its beautiful landscapes, Kasbahs and panoramic views of the ocre mountains where the colors and contrast changes every 200m. You will join the principal road nicknamed the road of 1000 kasbahs for many of the Kasbah, then you will visit the city of roses called Kelaa Mgouna, a rose festival is celebrated every year in this city, then the fascinating Skoura palm grove at 50km before getting to Ouarzazate. You will have lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Kasbah, then you take a walk to go on the top of the hill to dominate the whole village. Afterwards you will continue to Marrakech.
