Discover the wilderness of Goa on a full-day tour to a wildlife preserve where you ride and bathe with elephants. Visit a beautiful jungle camp inside Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, walk through the forest to a 12th-century temple, ride into the jungle on an elephant, watch a group of elephants bathe in a lake, and tap into your inner Tarzan as you zipline over the treetops. Includes private guide, transportation, lunch, entrance fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Your day begins with pickup from your Calangute or Baga hotel and a 2.5-hour drive by air-conditioned private vehicle to a jungle camp near Dudhsagar waterfall, which is situated within Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Goa’s largest wildlife preserve.

When you arrive at the jungle camp, you have several activities for the day. See housing that resembles typical tribal villages in Goa, ride an elephant through the jungle camp, and soar through the trees on a zipline that reaches heights of up to 82 feet (25 meters).

You’ll also enjoy a lunch that consists of traditional Goan meal, which is served on a banana leaf ‘plate.’ Then take a leisurely walk with your guide to learn about the plants and animals in the jungle. Along the way, your guide points out a variety of plants and trees that have medicinal and culinary uses.

Stop at the Tambdi Surla Temple and walk through the small exquisitely carved temple, which dates back to the 12th century, making it the oldest temple in Goa. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and continues to serve as an active place of worship. Then make your way to a nearby lake to watch the elephants bathe. You can feed the elephants or even join them for a splash in the tranquil lake.

At the end of your time in the jungle, relax on the scenic drive as you travel back to your hotel.
