Explore Beijing's architectural wonders and experience its cultural delights on this full-day private tour. Later, compare this with the modern architecture of the the 2008 Olympic's Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube. Transport by private, air-conditioned vehicle and an authentic Chinese lunch are included.
After pickup from your Beijing hotel, you will be taken to the entrance of the Great Wall at Mutianyu, one of the best-preserved section of the wall that's most representative of how it looked during the Ming Dynasty. Follow your guide on a moderate hike along the wall, which stretches 2,300 feet (700 meters) with inclines reaching up to 460 feet (140 meters).

Along the way, enjoy the picturesque views of the wall snaking through the tree-covered mountain. Learn from your guide about the tactical significance of several watchtowers and segments of this fortification. Your hike will take approximately two hours, depending on the pace you choose to take.

Walk to a nearby popular restaurant to delight in a lunch of local Beijing specialties.

After your lunch, take a 30-minute drive to Beijing National Stadium, informally known as the Bird’s Nest, and the Beijing National Aquatics Center, known as the Water Cube. Spend some time exploring these landmarks' surroundings and enjoying the scenery while hearing accounts of their design and function during the 2008 Olympics.

At the end of your tour, you’ll be taken back to your Beijing hotel.
