This tour will take you to Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Rai Parveen Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple and more. Morning pick-up from your hotel in Khajuraho lobby and drive to Orchha. On arrival in Orchha you will visit Jehangir Mahal, a 17th-century monumental palace in commemoration of emperor Jehangir, and witness stunning beauty characterized by delicate chhatris and intricate trellis work.
Later visit Raj Mahal and Rai Parveen Mahal. Raj Mahal was constructed in 17th-century and designed based on bold manifestation of various religious themes. It is crowned by beautiful chhatris and decorated by exquisite and colorful murals inside. Rai Parveen Mahal, a two-story brick palace, was built in remembrance of Rai Parveen, a 16th-century great poet and musician. You will become awe-struck upon seeing the skillfully carved recesses through which sun rays fall upon the main hall and others chambers, creating a prismatic view.
You will also go to the Chaturbhuj Temple. Decorated with various symbols of religious significance, this majestic temple is mounted upon a giant stone platform. You need to walk steep stairs to reach this temple. Its interiors are emphasized by high, vaulted walls and charms of the exteriors are accentuated by subtle ornamentation. Experiencing this temple you will find a deeply-embedded sense of sanctity and experience peace of mind. If time permits, you can also visit attractions, such as Laxminarayan Temple, shrines of Siddh Baba Ka Sthan, Jugal Kishore, Janki Mandir, Phool Bagh, Cenotaphs and the Hanuman Mandir at Ochharedwara.
