Once there, you will explore the colorful market and even buy a souvenir if you wish as there is an endless variety of handcrafts.
From there, you will start your biking adventure. You will receive a safety instruction and all necessary equipment. Then, it's off to start the ride. You'll first ride on a bike-only dirt road. Enjoy this pleasant journey as there will be no cars and you can be in touch with nature. You will reach Urubamba and enjoy a well-deserved Andean lunch. After recharging your batteries, continue riding to the town of Ollantaytambo. All along the way, you will be accompanied by the Vilcanota river, which flows next to the road and goes up all the way to Machu Picchu.
On your way to Ollantaytambo you will can appreciate the Incan terraces and local crops including corn, potato, mustard, quinoa and more, as well as the beautiful landscape and mighty mountains. Once you arrive at Ollantaytambo, you will explore the town and step back in time as many of the houses and buildings continue to stand from the Incan empire and display original architecture. You can choose to visit the ruins in Ollantaytambo (not included). Finally, a van will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
