Begin your day with a pickup by private minivan from your hotel in Cannes, and travel with your guide along a scenic 1.5-hour route through the shrouded forests of the Massif des Maures. Arrive in the seaside town of St-Tropez, a star of the French Riviera.

Glamorous St-Tropez is a hot spot for celebrities, high-rollers, fashionistas and film stars alike. It’s the Côte d’Azur’s elite jet-setter destination, and will dazzle you with its luxury yachts and postcard–worthy scenery.

Stroll around the harbor, indulge yourself in the high-end boutiques or soak up the atmosphere from a café terrace. Visit on a Tuesday or Saturday to explore the Provençal market at Place des Lices, the ideal place to discover local delicacies or pick up a souvenir or two.

Beyond the city’s glitzy façade is a long and eventful past, which you can discover by climbing the steps to the charming medieval village above. Visit the Annonciade Museum or take a walk around the 17th-century Citadel of St-Tropez, with its maritime museum (all entrance fees at own expense).

Leave the crowds behind as you drive a bit further south to Plage de Pampelonne, a dream stretch of golden sand and clear, blue water. Then snake along a winding road through Ramatuelle and Gassin, taking in amazing views of the Gulf of St Tropez at nearly every turn.

Arrive in the town of Port Grimaud, affectionately nicknamed ‘Little Venice’ for its intricate network of canals, channels and bridges. Meander the small backstreets, pop into shops and admire the colorful cottage-style houses (with yachts parked alongside — this is the still the French Riviera, after all). In the summer months (June 15 to September 15) you can choose to take a short sail across the stunning Bay of St-Tropez (own expense).

If time permits, take the slightly longer coastal route back to Cannes. Have your camera out as you pass through the idyllic Provençal towns of Ste-Maxime and St-Raphaël and along the Golden Corniche. You tour concludes with drop-off at your Cannes hotel in the evening.
