The most intimate Brunello di Montalcino private wine tour with an expert sommelier to taste top rated Brunello wines, the tour starts either from Florence or Siena and it brings you to very unique wineries ranging from award winning to family run and organic producers.The tour starts with a meeting at your lodging in Florence or Siena at 8:30am, you will be picked up by a driver guide also sommelier and wine expert in a comfortable Mercedes minivan for your Brunello di Montalcino private wine tour experience.
After the first part of the drive, we will be in the scenic tuscan countryside made of rolling hills and cypresses, uphill you will start enjoying the view of the vineyards, the bunches of Sangiovese grosso, the gold of the area used to produce the most popular and longevic italian wine.
Stop at the first winery for cellar visits with attention to the history of the wine making in this old wine region and wine tasting of at least 3 different wines.
After the first stop we will visit the second winery and you will be served a home made lunch to combine each Brunello and Rosso vintage, so you will be able to savor a typical Tuscan meal but also to learn in your palate how wine & food pairing works in Tuscany, homeland of great red wines.
The last stop will be done at the third organic producer where you will continue your wine tasting and olive oil tasting as well.
Your day will end after you tasted different styles Brunellos, Rosso di Montalcino along with olive oil, grappa, Rosato and/or sparkling wines.
We will drive back to Florence or Siena.
