You are welcome to arrive at the outfitting center the day before your scheduled departure date. The outfitting center offers free parking, rustic camping to all guests, as well as a BBQ on site. Here, you can experience northern hospitality while spending the evening exchanging stories as your guides ease you into Quetico mode.
On the day of your journey, you will be personally fitted with a life jacket (PFD) and a canoe paddle. Your local tour operator will review your Quetico route map, answer any questions you may have about your trip, and establish your pickup time and location. You will begin your Quetico adventure with a shuttle ride to your put in. While on route, you will be offered complimentary cold drinks and light snacks. Upon arrival at the put in, your tour operator will do a final gear check and say their farewells as you launch your boats.
Once on the water, feel the the worries and stresses of the modern world slip away as you ease yourself into the simple routines of canoe travel. Go slow at first and allow yourself time to get to know the Quetico canoe country that we so love.
As your journey comes to an end, your driver will be waiting for you at the prearranged time and location. You will enjoy complimentary snacks and a cold beverage, as we toast your adventure, on the way back to our outfitting center for final farewells.
