By paddling on the water you will experience the rhythms of a past gone forever and you will have direct contact with the heart of the city: its river, the Adige. Now cut off from the life of the city, the Adige has been for millennia essential to its survival and was the very reason of the birth of this city.
On this tour we will combine the excitement of paddling through the waters of the river with the discovery of its past uses: from scooping that provided drinking water and supported agriculture, to the Chain Bridge and the navigation on the river, from the mills to machinery wool production, from the use of sand deposited by the river to the life of the washerwomen and fishermen, along with of course the story of the tragic floods that have changed the lives of the city forever.
