The garden also houses fountains, historical monuments and hundreds of birds.

Your next stop is Tijuca Rainforest, right in the city. Take a mild, 15-minute hike into the forest and learn about the preservation of the ecosystem. Along the way, you'll have magnificent views of the forest around you and you’ll pass by Cascatinha de Taunay (Taunay Waterfall), Capela Mayrink (Mayring Chapel) and Açude da Solidão (Loneliness Dike ).
