5 hour tour to Constanta with a friendly local guide to discover the city's popular attractions, hidden charms and its great archaeological treasures. You will meet with your guide at the harbour in the morning and you will start exploring the largest port city at the Black Sea, in Romania. It is the oldest city of Romania, founded in 657 BC, with great archaeological treasures. The town has a rich history: it was first colonized by the Greeks, next came the Romans who conquered and annexed it to the Empire and afterwards, for five centuries, the region stood under the Ottoman Turks.

You will enjoy the historical atmosphere of the old town center where our tour starts. In this area we will find the statue of the Roman poet Ovidius and we will visit the Archaeological Museum. The institution houses Greek, Romanian, Byzantine and medieval objects, ceramics, antique architectural elements, ancient sculptures, bronze statues, jewellery, coins and many more items. Nearby, we will visit the Roman Mosaic Edifice with a very well preserved floor with vegetal and geometric mosaic in different colours. Next we will visit the main religious Muslim edifice and one of the most beautiful architectural monuments, combining Byzantine and Romanian architectural elements. You can admire the city panorama from the mosque’s tower. We have included in the itinerary the Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Cathedral, built in the 19th century in neo-Byzantine style.

On our way to the Aquarium where we will visit the permanent aquatic flora and fauna exhibition, we will pass by the Casino, the city’s symbol, built in Art Nouveau style.
