With an expert tour leader, rattle through must-see Rome attractions, covering ancient sights including the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and baroque headliners like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Ideal for those short on time or who don’t fancy walking, it’s a fun and easy way to see Rome. Enjoy personalized attention from your tour leader on this small-group tour, limited to eight people.
Join your tour leader in central Rome and enjoy an orientation session on your two-wheeled, electric, self-balancing Segway. You’ll also receive an iPod with an audio-visual overview of each stop, giving you interesting lowdowns on each sight as you go.

Once you’re comfortable on your Segway, follow your tour leader to Capitoline Hill, one of the original Seven Hills of Rome, to gaze down at the sites of ancient Rome. Then, glide past the Roman Forum, noting its crumbled buildings and learning about its history via your audio commentary.

Pass Palentine Hill and see Circus Maximus, once the site of chariot races. Continue to the Colosseum and take photos of the exterior of this vast arena that once rang with the noise of bloody gladiatorial contests. As well as other sights, you’ll also visit Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta to enjoy an unforgettable keyhole view of St Peter's Basilica, have a rest in the beautiful Rose Garden admiring one of the most suggestive view of Rome.

At around 1pm, enjoy a leisurely break for lunch at a local restaurant. Feast on typical Italian dishes such as bruschetta and pizza, all washed down with a complimentary glass of wine, mineral water and an espresso. See the Itinerary for a sample menu.

Afterward, set off into the streets of Rome’s beautiful historical center. See the Spanish Steps, Church of Sant’Ignazio and Campo de’ Fiori, and ride to Piazza Navona to gaze at Bernini’s sublime Fountain of the Four Rivers. Other highpoints include taking in stunning vistas over St Peter’s from a viewpoint, and a visit to the baroque Trevi Fountain to cast your good-luck coin.

When the time comes, ride back to the starting point where your tour concludes.

Please note: the order of the activities, as described above, are subject to change on the day of your tour.
