Join your tour leader in central Rome and enjoy an orientation session on
your two-wheeled, electric, self-balancing Segway. You’ll also receive
an iPod with an audio-visual overview of each stop, giving you
interesting lowdowns on each sight as you go.
Once
you’re comfortable on your Segway, follow your tour leader to Capitoline
Hill, one of the original Seven Hills of Rome, to gaze down at the sites
of ancient Rome. Then, glide past the Roman Forum, noting its crumbled
buildings and learning about its history via your audio commentary.
Pass
Palentine Hill and see Circus Maximus, once the site of chariot
races. Continue to the Colosseum and take photos of the exterior of this
vast arena that once rang with the noise of bloody gladiatorial
contests. As well as other sights,
you’ll also visit Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta to enjoy an
unforgettable keyhole view of St Peter's Basilica, have a rest in the beautiful Rose Garden admiring one of the most suggestive view of Rome.
At
around 1pm, enjoy a leisurely break for lunch at a local restaurant.
Feast on typical Italian dishes such as bruschetta and pizza, all washed
down with a complimentary glass of wine, mineral water and an espresso.

Afterward,
set off into the streets of Rome’s beautiful historical center. See the
Spanish Steps, Church of Sant’Ignazio and Campo de’ Fiori, and ride to
Piazza Navona to gaze at Bernini’s sublime Fountain of the Four Rivers.
Other highpoints include taking in stunning vistas over St Peter’s from a
viewpoint, and a visit to the baroque Trevi Fountain to cast your good-luck
coin.
When the time comes, ride back to the starting point where your tour concludes.
