This adventure-packed trip through the 1100-foot cliffs of the Royal Gorge is the ultimate rafting challenge. Famous for its steep drops, huge waves and continuous Class III to Class V whitewater, you'll have the experience of a lifetime on this full-day adventure. The spectacular scenery and rapids of the Royal Gorge will thrill even the most expert whitewater veteran. Suggested age varies with water levels.Your trip will begin with an 8:15am check in, departing from Cañon City. Once the group arrives and each individual fills out release waivers, you will have the option to choose from a selection of wetsuits, river boots and splash jackets included free of charge. Then you will be transported to the put-in location and get situated on the raft. Then onto the river for an adventure of a lifetime!
After miles of excitement and beautiful scenery, the group will eddy out and enjoy a sack lunch, provided with love by the kitchen staff, on the side of the river. After the lunch break, the group will get back out on the river to enter the exciting Royal Gorge section of the Arkansas River. This section is Class V rapids. After the adventure on the river ends, the staff will pick you up at the take out, bring you back to the office where you can shower, change and wind down. Depending on water levels and river conditions, the trip will end at 4:30pm. Time may vary due to water levels.
