Get to know the wildlife on the Caribbean Coast of Panama! The animals at Safarick’s Zoo are part of a rescue and rehabilitation program. Each and every one of our guides give a personalized tour to our visitors which last 1 hour and 15 minutes, educating them on all of the wild animals that can be seen in Panama. Upon arrival at Safarick Zoologico, you will be greeted by an English or Spanish-speaking guide, depending on your request.

Our tour is a duration of one hour and fifteen minutes and is wheelchair and carriage friendly. The guide will explain every animal that we have, from which part in Panama they live, what the animal eats as well as the animals history.

Safarick's Zoologico is a rescue and rehabilitation zoo and therefore we work closely with the government of Panama (Ministerio del Ambiente) in order to rehabilitate the animals. Some of the animals come to us due to illegal contraband, or malnutrition issues. We offer the animal medicine and care. If the animal is able to be released into the wild, it is done, but there have been cases in which the animal is not able to be released and therefore stays at Safarick's Zoologico.

We are currently doing enrichment with all of the animals. Enrichment is basically giving the animals a better quality of life allowing the animals to behave as they would in the wild. Searching for their food, etc...
Safarick's Zoologico has the biggest walk through aviary in Panama, being able to walk beside macaws , pheasants, great currasows and most of all being able to feed a toucan.
Finally, after your tour, we have a small souvenir shop where t-shirts, mugs, arts and crafts or stuffed animals can be purchased .
