Discover the marvelous city of Salzburg, the picturesque town that is famous for being the birthplace of "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart". Explore 3 Austrian UNESCO World Heritage Sites on this tour. Be fascinated by the Lake Area and the dimension of the Austrian Alps. Follow the footsteps  of the Trapp-Family in the musical "Sound of Music" by visiting Mirabell garden's during the guided city-walk. After free time return to Vienna.You will be picked up at your central located adress in Vienna. between 6.45am and 7.15am from your hotel in Vienna. On the way you will be passing Wachau, the Danube Valley with it's beautiful landscapes, also world famous for its wines, as well as for the imprisonment of King Richard and the Benedictine Monastery of Melk. Stop on the highway for breakfast (not included) at Ansfelden or similar place. Exit highway for Salzkammergut, beside the overwhelming landscape with lakes and mountains it is the alpine scenery of "Sound of Music". You will arrive in Salzburg around noon.

You will then enjoy a city walk visiting the most important sights, like Mozarteum,  Getreidegasse, Mozart’s Birthplace, the Cathedral and the Cemetery of  St. Peter, the Horse Well, the Mirabell Palace with its beautiful views of the Hohensalzburg fortress. (approx 1 - 1,5 hrs)

You will then have more than 2 hours of free time to enjoy Salzburg at your pace!

You will be back in Vienna between 7:30pm and 8pm.
