Now for something completely different! This vessel remains above sea level at all times, while its hull - at 5 feet below the surface - provides spectacular viewing of the Arashi Coral Reef, abundant Caribbean sea life and the famous WWII German shipwreck, "The Antilla".

The Seaworld Explorer is a state-of-the-art semi-submarine developed in Australia for use on the Great Barrier Reef. The vessel does not submerge; you descend into the hull of this cruising underwater observatory and sit in air-conditioned comfort five feet below the surface of the water, exploring amazing sea life through large, clear glass windows.

Your journey begins as you board a transfer boat that takes you to the Seaworld Explorer, waiting near renowned Arashi Reef. Your skilled captain and knowledgeable narrator guide the semi-submarine through this wondrous reef filled with beautiful coral formations and hundreds of spectacular tropical fish.

Leaving Arashi Reef, the Seaworld Explorer takes you to the wreck of the Antilla, a 423-foot (128 meter) German freighter destroyed during World War II. The huge ship lies on her side in 60 feet of water where it is only partially submerged, providing a resting-place for the pelicans that frequent it. Measuring 423 feet in length, this is the largest wreck in the Caribbean.

A knowledgeable marine expert will provide you with information on the amazing underwater world around you and will be happy to answer questions. From the wreck, you enjoy a relaxing cruise to shore.
