It is a good and popular outdoor recreation spot. You can see some people cycling, hiking and picnicking during the weekend.
After a walked at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), we will stop for lunch and then proceed to climb at a limestone hill - the Batu Caves, one of the holiest Hindu temples outside India and located in a spectacular natural setting.
You will move on to one of the tourist favorite place, the Bukit Melawati which located near the mouth of the Selangor River. Historically, Bukit Melawati was important for the survival of the state of Selangor from aggressors of other the states and overseas. At Bukit Melawati, you will be greeted by a beautiful lighthouse called Altingsburg Lighthouse but no one is allow to enter the side.
The star attraction of the Melawati Hill is actually the Silver Leafed Monkeys and Long-Tail Macaques, they are looking for food and climb at every high points but they are not aggressive.
The day ends with a seafood dinner and a boat cruise to see the natural light show of fireflies over the water.
