  • Visitors must be dressed modestly in loose fitting clothes. Arms and legs must be fully covered. No t-shirts, shorts, short skirts or beach wear allowed.
  • Women must also follow these guidelines in addition to being required to wear an abaya (gown) and head scarf (both are provided by the mosque for your visit or you can wear your own headscarf if you prefer). Men may be required to wear a thobe (white gown-provided by the mosque). Shoes must be removed during the visit.
  • Please be respectful during your visit to the mosque as this is a place of worship. No food or drinks are permitted. There are water fountains and bathroom facilities. Please do not touch the Quran (Holy Book) if you are not a Muslim
  • You are permitted to take photos inside the mosque but not in the mausoleum. Please do not take photos of anyone praying and kindly ask permission to anyone else you would like to photograph.
  • No smoking is allowed on the grounds of the mosque. Please avoid all public displays of affection such as hand holding or kissing inside an Abu Dhabi mosque.
