Discover the Crystal City and its largest places of interest. This short and sweet excursion will demonstrate the brilliant reasons why cruise ships dock in this attractive, northern Spanish city. La Coruña is a popular port with a commercial centre that is full of activity, a gorgeous cultural tradition and many historical remnants that offer visitors a sight of the past. Throughout the day you will have lots of chances for amazing photos to upload to your social media accounts.

Nicknamed the Crystal City due to hundreds of glass balconies that line the buildings, La Coruna was created to reflect the robust sunlight that rebounded off the glistening sea. Relish a panoramic drive all over the city and enjoy the ornate ‘galleries’ that are devoted to the building fronts. Follow the attractive seafront that wraps itself around the harbour and pass the Castle of San Anton; a previous island fortress that is now La Coruna’s archaeological museum. We then head towards the Tower of Hercules; a distinctive Roman lighthouse that still works as initially designed hundreds of years ago. This is viewed as La Coruna’s most significant monument, features on the city’s coat of arms, and is thought to be on the grave of a giant slain by Hercules.

Passing Mount San Pedro Park, a previous military zone that offers remarkable views and outside space, return to the city centre. Here we start on a walking tour with your local professional guide, starting at the inspiring Town Hall in Maria Pita Square. The beautiful square is enclosed by restaurants as well as back streets that lead to shops and boutiques. Free time is offered to explore enjoy the local atmosphere.
