A shore excursion from Tien Sa Port that visits some heritage sites in Hue - known as the old imperial city of Vietnam.
Am: From 7:00 to 08:00am when the cruise ship land in Tien Sa port, our guide and driver will pick up the clients. Take a scenic trip from Danang to the historic region of Hue City on this full-day tour. Drive along the picturesque Hai Van pass on the way to Hue City.
Your first stop will be at the impressive home of the former Nguyen Dynasty emperors (1820-1945), followed by a visit to the imposing Imperial City and the Royal Citadel. Much of the Citadel was destroyed during the Tet Offensive in 1968, but it is gradually being restored.
From here, we will continue on to the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's oldest and most beautiful pagoda, thought to be the symbol of religion and spirit of the Hue people.
Pm: We will carry on to visit the solemn permanent shelter of the 4th Nguyen Emperor, the Tu Duc Tomb if time permitted. Then, take in more beautiful scenery as we make our way back to Tien Sa port, and let yourself absorb this unique day of history and exploration in one of Vietnam's most scenic regions.
Then you leave Hue for back Tien Sa Port around 4:00pm. Tour ends at the port.
